Surrealist Painter Martin O'Vel can look back on an amazing & colourful life. Giving up lorry driving in favour of furniture design and producing surrealist paintings of international calibre whilst battling with Tourette syndrome, requires more than considerable determination. Martin's talents have been well documented and honoured; several pieces about the maverick designer & artist have featured in the national press and his radio exposé as a guest to Libby Purves has caused a storm of excitement, carried by Martin's nonchalant and entertaining wit. With more copyrights to his name than there are pebbles in the river Wye, the entertaining & charismatic Londoner who has now settled right on the border to Wales, has finally agreed to exhibit some of his work for the first time in almost two decades at venues close to his heart: Martin will be exhibiting this summer in the UK at Erwood Arts & Craft Centre from 17.08.2012 until 27.09.2012.
